Hi, I'm Ken Crowther, Managing Director of Crowther Landscapes and I have been involved in horticulture and gardening all my life. I am on the Management Committee of the Horticultural Trades Association having been their President until October 2007, which involves me every day with the gardening industry and keeps me aware of up-to-date developments.
Crowther Landscapes was formed in 1966 and has won several prestigious national awards, including in 2007 and 2008 an APL Award for Garden Maintenance. It is a founder member of the Association of Professional Landscapers. This association keeps a check on all its members, keeping them aware of legislation and not forgetting vetting quality of work produced.
I have been working for BBC Essex now for over 21 years, presenting my own programme on a Saturday morning which gives me the opportunity of talking gardening with listeners across the county.
This year has seen the expansion of our Garden Maintenance department. We now look after 100 gardens a week, 51 weeks a year, from several acres to small courtyard gardens, from Hampstead to Chelmsford, from Wanstead across to Bishop Stortford. So if you are looking for a gardener, look no further as we have a gardener in Epping for you.
The Landscape Department is constantly busy with our order book always booked several months in advance. We can help whether you have a small garden or a large one in Essex and the adjoining counties.
So if you require a garden design, or to have it built and / or maintained by professional gardeners, call Yvette on 0845 8800165.
Don't forget to check out my monthly diary and if you fancy more reading, why not buy my novel "Jack the Gardener".
